Work Area:
Scan the work area.
Check for electrical hazards.
Check for tripping or slipping hazards.
Locate a clear, stable surface to place base of ladder.
Locate a firm and secure surface for the top of the ladder. Check weather conditions if outside (wind, snow, ice, rain, etc.).
